Our Future...

   We have met and continue to meet at the Clubhouse at Sutton Place and we are grateful for God's provision for a place to worship. However, the time has come to make a change. We are praying and seeking a more permanent place for Resurrection of Peace. We all feel that if we are to fulfill the mission that God has called us to, we need a home for worship and all the activities of the Church. Please be in prayer and the look out for the building that God has in store for us. The location is already known to Him, I pray that we are of a spiritual mind and heart to see it when He shows it to us. The future is ours until His return. We are excited with anticipation as to where God will place us for a permanent home.

 Who are we?

Resurrection of Peace had its first service in April, 2006. It is our aim to bring a resurrection of peace within the heart of the believer and within the Church as a body. Too long has the believer and the Church been at odds with each other as well as church to church. We are trying to return to a simpler time in the church where a simple message of faith was all the doctrine that the church had or needed. That message was shared person to person to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and the church came into being and grew.

   Over the centuries, the church has seen the need to complicate the simple message of faith with doctrines, dogmas, and rhetoric that has distorted and complicated the gospel. Many have had trouble seeing past all of this to find the faith necessary for salvation. At Resurrection of Peace, we are working to remove the "right and wrong" from each person's beliefs. Instead, we see that knowing Jesus is an individual experience and instead of the there being a "right and wrong", we combine all of the experiences of faith to see and know how big and wonderful the Son of God truly is.

   Look through this site. Read what there is. Look at the pictures of the people. If you have had a difficult time reaching God and attend no church or perhaps have been attending services yet you don't feel at home or understand what you are hearing, perhaps Resurrection of Peace is what you have been seeking. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the church and hopefully we can settle any wonderings that you may have.

Statement of Beliefs and Practices

Resurrection of Peace is a church that has no members and never passes a plate to take up an offering. Yet we have people coming to worship and through those people the needs of the church are always met.  We have no membership because we are not concerned with numbers, only worship. These things are as they are and shall be. This will not change.

   We commit ourselves to worship our Lord, Jesus Christ, through a simple message of faith believing that faith and acceptance of Him is the path to the Father. Each will find Jesus in a personalized way. At Resurrection of Peace there is no right way or wrong way to find Him in your heart. We combine all of our experiences in Christ and begin to realize how big and wonderful He truly is. From this, we learn and grow to live our faith in every part of life, everyday. We have no doctrines except our faith in Him and the guiding power of the Holy Spirit.

   From Him springs a well eternal. How much we drink of the well is up to us.

   Below is a video from music by Michael W. Smith. The song is Agnus Dei meaning Lamb of God and is sung by Amy Grant. At Resurrection of Peace, this song has come to mean so much to us. It is wonderful for worship, praise, prayer, as a congregation or during a time of personal meditation and worship. It runs about 6 minutes but is well worth the time.
