Charter of The Church of the Resurrection of Peace We assembled here on this, the first anniversary of the founding of The Church of the Resurrection of Peace, do state, believe, and profess the following: We believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God. We further believe that salvation is available to anyone, anytime, and anywhere but must be a faith based, heartfelt decision to believe in and follow Jesus Christ. The foundation for this is from The Gospel of John 11:25-27 which says: 25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; 26 and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" 27"Yes, Lord," she told him, "I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world." We also accept that the individual decision can be as different as we are as people but that we are not to judge the trueness of the decision accept by the statement of the individual. The path to find salvation may be different but the source of that salvation is Jesus Christ. There is no other source. We emphatically state that The Church of the Resurrection of Peace owes allegiance to no other church or to any denomination. We, as a family of believers, are neither Catholic nor Protestant. We are simply Christian in the manner of the believers in the church as it was founded in the Book of the Acts of the Apostles. We shall always remain so. The Church of the Resurrection of Peace has no formal membership in the manner of other churches for there is no concern for the counting of people as sheep. This practice will not change. The Church of the Resurrection of Peace does not “pass the plate” for offerings for the work of the church. It is established knowledge that every home, spiritual and familial has obligations. The Church of the Resurrection of Peace is no different. The manner in which offerings are given and accepted by the church is established and will remain as it is now done. This practice will not change. The concerns for The Church of the Resurrection of Peace are the sharing and spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all that can be found to listen. We strive to grow in the faith everyday in all parts of life. We further commit ourselves to be of one mind and one heart in the faith as were the early Christians but also accepting the strengths brought to the church by every individual. All those, by affixing their signatures to this document, state and avow that this constitutes the Charter of The Church of the Resurrection of Peace. This Charter is to be effective from this day forward until the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To God be the glory forever and ever. AMEN. Signed, this day, April 22, 2007 in Huntsville, Alabama…
